Care and Prayer

Holy Trinity Church provides dedicated teams to aid in the physical and spiritual well-being of the Parish community.  Newcomers are welcomed to the various groups, to participate in outreach, prayer for others, or just reflective meditation.

Pastoral Care Group

A team of pastoral care visitors calls on those who are sick, either in their homes or in hospital, and may also make follow-up visits after bereavement.   This team is available to anyone in our community, not just church members, as a way to serve all of our parish. For more information or to get involved please contact our Pastoral Care Co-ordinator.

Transportation for the Elderly

We provide a rota of drivers on Sundays to bring elderly parishioners to any church service. If you would like to volunteer to be a driver or you want to arrange a lift to church please contact us.

Prayer Circle

The prayer circle meets on the second Tuesday each month at 10:30am and worships together with a focus on prayers for others.  We maintain a list of requests for prayer, for people who are sick or in any kind of need.  A copy of the list is always available in the church and a special board for prayer requests is to be found opposite the door into the church.  The aim is that names on the list are always prayed for daily.  Those able to meet together will update the list regularly.  The prayer circle is open to all because we can all pray at any time and in any place to support those in need.

The Quiet Garden

The Quiet Garden group - part of a nationwide movement - meets on the third Monday of each month in the Church cottage, starting at 9:45am and ending at 12:15pm.  People may attend for the whole session or just part of the morning.  Each month different people lead the group in varied ways.  The main objective is to spend time in contemplation, so there are usually periods of quiet when one can walk about the grounds and woodland, or sit in Holy Trinity's own Quiet Garden, the church or cottage.  Quiet Garden provides an opportunity to take time away from busy schedules, to be still.
