Services

Euch1At Holy Trinity we believe our worship is central to our Christian life. Our services are designed to welcome us into God’s love and allow him to be present to us. We go out enabled to live a full life in the knowledge that we are cared for and loved by God and one another.

Our main service is the Parish Eucharist on Sundays at 9:30am - its an easy-to-follow service. We have a service booklet produced for each Sunday -- so there is no fiddling around looking for pages or hymn books to drop! We centre our worship on the celebration of the Eucharist. More than anything else we believe going to church should be an occasion that is special and proper, and in which we find a resource for living.

IMG_0886We encourage our whole community to participate in worship by serving, reading the lessons, forming the offertory procession, leading intercessions and administering the chalice. There are regular weekday communion services and the Book of Common Prayer is used at 8am on Sunday and on Wednesday mornings.

There is a creche and a Sunday School at our main Sunday Service at 9.30, unless the children are staying in church for our Family Services. These happen about once a month and not only do the children stay in church for the whole service, they run the show as well.

HospitalityWhat that means is that the young people are in charge of welcoming you to church, reading, praying, helping to prepare the altar, getting the coffee and all the other many and varied jobs that make a Sunday morning at Holy Trinity happen. Smoothly and seamlessly our young people take on their responsibility to help us ascend into God’s presence and go on our way refreshed and empowered by our encounter with him. Well, they do have a little help from their parents!

Other services on Sundays and weekdays are varied, some of which cater for different tastes:
  • Said Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer - Sundays at 8:00am and Wednesdays at 10:00am
  • Short and informal Holy Communion service followed by coffee - Tuesdays at 9:30am
  • Toddler Praise! - Informal Holy Communion for parents and pre-school children - Thursdays at 10:30am
  • First Sunday Evening - 1st Sunday of the month at 6:00pm
This is an informal, contemporary evening service. We use music and meditation to help us come close to God.
  • Evensong - 3rd Sunday at 6:00pm
  • Communion services often sung on festivals and special saints days - 8:00pm

We warmly welcome everyone to come to any of our services. Come and see for yourself.
