Welcome to your Church!

Every Sunday 9.30am

Welcome to Holy Trinity, your parish church serving Prestwood and Great Kingshill in the Chiltern Hills. We come to church every Sunday at 9.30am.

Here we are invited to celebrate God's love for all people, rest in his presence and go out empowered to live our everyday lives.

In our worship we remove the barriers that separate us from God's love and build up the ties that bind us as a loving community.

We also like to enjoy ourselves, and there's lots going on!

We welcome you to come and join us.

Please help support the work of Holy Trinity, Prestwood

Holy Trinity Church provides dedicated teams to aid in the physical and spiritual well-being of the Parish community.  Newcomers are welcomed to the various groups, to participate in outreach, prayer for others, or just reflective meditation.

Pastoral Care Group

A team of pastoral care visitors calls on those who are sick, either in their homes or in hospital, and may also make follow-up visits after bereavement.   This team is available to anyone in our community, not just church members, as a way to serve all of our parish. For more information or to get involved please contact our Pastoral Care Co-ordinator.

Transportation for the Elderly

We provide a rota of drivers on Sundays to bring elderly parishioners to any church service. If you would like to volunteer to be a driver or you want to arrange a lift to church please contact us.

Prayer Circle

The Prayer Circle is a committed group of people who, on a daily basis, hold before God those who have asked for our prayers. To do this, we maintain a list of requests for prayer, for people who are sick or in any kind of need. It meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 3.15 pm with a short act of worship and time to amend the list for the following month.

If you know of someone for whom you would like us to pray, then please phone or email Mrs Vonnie Chantler (01494 865382 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or The Reverend Deiniol Heywood (01494 866530 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) of if you prefer, use the Prayer Board in the church to make any requests known to us.

If you would like to join us you would be made most welcome – phone Vonnie for details of where we are meeting, but using the list yourself to pray would be equally valuable to those in need of our prayers. Copies are always available at the back of the church, or contact Vonnie to join those who receive the list by email.

Remember, an important part of our church life together is in making appeals to God for those in need of help – but that process needs daily ‘top ups’ by individuals to help that process to bear fruit. Your additional prayers can make a difference.

The Quiet Garden

The Quiet Garden movement was established 20 years ago by Rev. Philip Roderick who used as his inspiration the text from Mark 6: 31 "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest" There are now branches of the Quiet Garden movement throughout the world, including one here at Holy Trinity, Prestwood.

The aim is to provide space for those who feel the need to step aside from the daily problems of life, to engage in quiet contemplation and prayer in the company of like minded people. We welcome those of any faith or none, to share in reflection in the quiet or the church, its grounds or the cottage, though we sometimes meet in other venues, especially during the winter months.

We meet on the third Monday of each month, from 9.45 to 11.45. Please email David and Vonnie Chantler This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for details of where we are meeting or for any other information.
