Why? 2026
We are slowly building our Why? Programme for 2026.
The first two dates for your diaries, both at Holy Trinity Prestwood, are:
Why should we talk about Death? | Tuesday 24th February | 7.30pm
A panel discussion including Reverend James Dwyer, Vicar of Christ Church Flackwell Heath and Area Dean of Wycombe Deanery, representatives from Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care and funeral directors. Exploring the topic of death, and why it is important to break the taboo around talking about it.
Why should we care about the environment? | Tuesday 28th April | 7.30pm
We are joined by Margot and Martin Hodson to explore Environmental Theology, both work at The John Ray Initiative. The Reverend Margot Hodson is focused on teaching and researching how faith, community and the environment connect. She is associate tutor for Environmental Theology at Ripon College, Cuddesdon and All Nations Christian College. Martin Hodson is a plant scientist and environmental biologist, and a former Principal Lecturer, and now Visiting Researcher at Oxford Brookes University.
