Butterfly Bazaar & Missenden Abbey Fair

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our sale at this event. We made a grand total of just over £278 during the afternoon. Cake, quiche, sweet and preserve makers - we couldn't do it without you. I was thinking of the people beavering away at the sale while I was travelling at the leisurely average speed of 3 miles an hour watching the world, and the ducks, go by from the deck of a narrow boat. My thanks go to them for taking up the reins on an event they had not organised!
While talking about fund-raising - we have made £130 so far from sales of preserves at N & P fruits, which, added to the £130 on preserve sales in the first half of the year, means we are doing quite well.
This brings me on to the Missenden Abbey Christmas Fair on 5th and 6th December. We have a stall booked there for the 2 days. Despite the current lock-down Missenden Abbey organisers are convinced it will go ahead. In the case that lock-down is lifted on 2nd December as planned, please can all bakers go into overdrive so that we have a supply of cakes and edible goodies to sell over the 2 days? Craft makers amongst you - if you have been busy since March making loads of things that you now don't know what to do with how about letting us try to sell them to raise some more much needed funds for the church?
Any questions or offers of help, please contact me on 01494 865660. Thanks, Jean.
