Calling all knitters!
Do you have some free time and a ball of wool? We need you! A member of our congregation, Colette McGilchrist, is a midwife at Wexham Park hospital. The labour ward are in need of knitted hats for their newborn babies. Over 400 babies are delivered each month; that's a lot of hats needed to keep new heads cosy this winter! The hats are really important to keep babies warm in their first 24 hours and to stabilise their blood sugars after birth. The knitted hats can be any colour, and need to be between 33cm-37cm in circumference. Each baby is able to take home their first hat and so it also becomes a wonderful keepsake. If you can spare the time to get knitting, it would be greatly appreciated by Colette and the rest of the team. Please contact Fran (This email address is being protected from spambots.
