Traditional Services

At Holy Trinity we believe our worship is central to our Christian life. A lot of our worship is traditional, Church of England services that are designed to welcome us into God’s love and allow God to be present to us. We go out enabled to live a full life in the knowledge that we are cared for and loved by God and one another.

Our main Sunday service is the Parish Eucharist on Sundays at 9:30am - it is easy-to-follow. We have a service booklet produced for each Sunday -- so there is no fiddling around looking for pages or hymn books to drop! This service is centred on the celebration of the Eucharist. More than anything else we believe going to church should be an occasion that is special and proper, and in which we find a resource for living. We encourage our whole community to participate in worship by serving, reading the lessons, forming the offertory procession, leading intercessions and administering the chalice.

There are regular weekday communion services, and the Book of Common Prayer is used at 8am on Sunday and on Wednesday mornings.

There is a creche and a Sunday School at our main Sunday Service at 9.30, unless the children are staying in church for our Family Services. These happen about once a month and not only do the children stay in church for the whole service. The young people might help welcoming us to church, reading, praying, helping to prepare the altar, getting the coffee and all the other many and varied jobs that make a Sunday morning at Holy Trinity happen. We all share the responsibility to help us ascend into God’s presence and go on our way refreshed and empowered by our encounter with him. Well, they do have a little help from their parents!

Other services on Sundays and weekdays are varied. There is contemporary worship like Craft & Praise  and lots more as well.

We warmly welcome everyone to come to any of our services. Come and see for yourself.
