Preserve Making | HTP

The Holy Trinity Preserves Team are looking for your help and support, please.

Have you found some fruit / veg lurking at the bottom of your freezer that you had forgotten about? If you don’t need it, please consider donating it to a member of the preserve team to turn into jams, chutneys, etc. to sell.

Join the team! We could always do with more people in the team. Whether one jar or a hundred – donations are always welcome. All I need is the full jar(s) and a list of ingredients and I will label and prettify the jar.

Not a gardener nor a preserve maker? There are people amongst you who contribute by donating towards the cost of sugar, and other ingredients. It is amazing how much the cost of things has increased over the last few years! Jars! – clean, with labels removed where possible please.

Do you fancy fruit picking? Teams will be needed throughout the summer months, different days for different fruit. If you are interested and think you can spare some time, please let Jean know with available dates.

Last year we raised over £2,500 towards church funds selling the jams, marmalades and chutneys. So far this year, June, we have reached a grand total of £2,000 and between us made over 500 jars!

Go to Hildreth’s to buy your supplies. If you can’t make it there, do ask Jean, we can always sell direct.
