Lent Resources

We have a variety of resources available as you journey through Lent. 

• Draw Near is the official Church of England booklet for Lent 2026. Booklets will be available in church from February 1st. 
  • Adults - This booklet invites you to develop a rhythm of life that will help you grow as a disciple of Christ. Each week explores an activity central to Christian discipleship: worship, prayer, Scripture, Communion, service to others and sharing the Good News. Each day offers a Bible reading, image, short reflection, prayer and a practical response to help you draw near to God this Lent and beyond. 
  • Families & Children - This booklet encourages a habit of generosity with the help of 40acts. It invites you to give things away, give time, give encouragement, and discover the joy of walking in generosity. Each day there is an act of generosity, a Bible verse, reflection and prayer ideal for families to do together. 
• Come & See | Diocese of Oxford
  • This year's Come & See offering is Discovering Jesus through the Eucharist. You are invited to explore the profound meal at the heart of Christian life - whether new to Christianity or have been coming to church for years. 
  • Emails - Sign up to daily emails. You will receive a short email each day to reflect on, and a weekly video from Bishop Steven exploring the six themes in more detail. The themes are:
    • The Servant (who welcomes us)
    • The Lamb of God (who takes away the sin of the world)
    • The Bread of Life (who feeds us)
    • The Vine (who offers rest and life)
    • The Son of God (who draws us into the worship of Heaven)
    • The Apostle (who sends us) 
  • In Person - we will not be offering anything in person this year, but hope to join with our friends at St Peter & St Paul Great Missenden for their course. Details to follow.
